Default Exhaust?

I am clearly debating on what type of exhaust/brand I should purchase. I know that there is a lot of threads that talk about different exhaust notes, but I want some direct feedbacks =). I am looking to purchase an exhaust that increases performance as well as sound! I was looking at Joez exhaust racing version. Anyone recommend or defer with my opinion?

yeah I'd go with a JoeZ Race, best exhaust currently out for our cars IMO.

imo... get the exhaust 'tips' you like the best and/or the 'sound' you like the best, don't even bother with 'performance'...

Where in the exhaust system do you want to start? The headers, main pipes and catalytics, or just the silencers and tips? If you're only going to do the silencers, you won't be able to get a whole lot of performance boost, so then just pick whatever sounds best to you.

no real performace gains, not really any headers. borla, joe z, and megan make cat backs, tanabe, hks, greddy, f-sport, invidia, and a few others make axle backs, greddy and tanabe, and n1 prospeed(ebay) are more mellow and have nice tones. hks is louder especially with resonator delete, invidia mid pipe, and w/o silencer. all depends on the sound your going for.
the 2is performance section has some sound clips of the different exhausts offered, and borla has their catback on their website.

what should i go with if i do not want any raspy sound and as little drone as possible??
megan midpipe + tanabe? JoeZ Street? Megan midpipe+GreddySE?

i know that the invidia midpipes deletes the Cats.... making it rather raspy...

any advice guys?

For performance, you hit the nail on the head w/ the JoeZ racing version. Headers will add to the increase.

You should check out PPE's new exhaust too. 2.5" SS throughout and comes with a easy connect to their headers. I love it, and they make different versions for those who want it louder/quieter.

i've heard the Invidia pipes and exhaust... on the higher RPMs sounds a little to ricey to me and it is very weird to me though... i am leaning towards JoeZ full Exhaust catted version or Tanabe+megan pipes

I am with mdgrwl, get the JoeZ racing version + Header
or you can try out the whole PPE system, PPE exhaust + PPE Header
let us know your final decision!.
