I'll take the F seats and fast shifting tranny anyday. Everything else in my 350 is fine for my needs.

All I can say is that I am honored that a thread titled “Supercharger IS250” drums up all this debate of boosted IS250s, IS350s and IS-F talk. You guys are awesome (or have low self esteem – Jk!!!!). I couldn’t think of a better way to drift off topic.

Thx again.

For this price i can trade my car in and get a used 350 and have money left over to mod the **** out of it. It would be awesome to be the fastest 250 though haha

Well, it'd be awesome for as long as the motor/transmission lasted anyway... which probably wouldn't be very long...

It's an "ARMA Supercharged BMW 323" according to their website, not an M3.

As a previous poster mentioned, about $12000 for all the hardware you need, plus install.

Or for $4500 you can go about as fast bone stock in an IS350 instead of a 250 and not worry about the transmission or engine blowing up (and at 10.15 psi for their stage 1 kit it will)

(well, US drivers can anyway... most of the overseas guys kinda get screwed there)

http://www.armaspeed.com/product_1_1.php?catId=315

Stage1 : Default compression is set @0.7BAR(10.15PSI)
Only limited to users who are capable of setting up own fuel management and cooling system

Stage-1
It is bundled with the basic accessories for supercharging system. Estimated installation time is 6 to 8 hours for an experienced mechanic. Cooling and fuel-supply system are not provided, this kit is only for tuning garages but not suitable for common end-users. Default compression is set @0.7BAR(10.15PSI)

Stage2 : Default compression is set @0.5BAR(7.25PSI)

Stage-2
This is a complete IS250 Kit. Estimated installation time is 6 to 8 hours for an experienced mechanic. ARMA fuel management system, exclusive intercooler and by pass valve are included. ARMA intercooler is tailor-made to work with ARMA supercharging system to minimize pressure loss and to maximize high efficiency of heat conduction. ARMA R&D team spent much effort on the design of the kit. By pass valve makes exceptional sound over 120db all the way while running. The throttle is going to retrieve 0.2BAR(2.9PSI) automatically, and at the moment of stepping on the gas, the reaction on supercharging and efficiency are other assets of the ARMA Supercharging System. Detailed installation process is presented in our Installation Guide, and the technical support can be provided by ARMA Team. Not only the do-it-yourself motorists but any auto-tuning garages will find no difficulties to install and enjoy the speed provided by ARMA. The default compression is set @0.5BAR(7.25PSI).

Looks like the ARMA is legit. Sounds nice, looks like it runs good.

Well, first they said 312 bhp - bhp typically standing for "brake horsepower" which implies horsepower at the crank disregarding drivetrain loss.

Later they say 312 rwhp (~350 at the crank).

That's certainly one inconsistency to question. Did they mean "british horsepower" when they said bhp initially?

The second thing to question is - is a 150 HP increase (crank) consistent with 10 psi boost? I don't know the answer to that - I'm not an expert on F/I.

all depends on the application and how well the tuning and engine + supporting mods mash up together.
on my evo 8 i gained 40kw atw around 70hp atw with justa exhaust tune and boosting up of around 3 psi.
so i think it's possible
