^^It's true though! I'm really not trying to be a douche but look at every single boost thread, see what people talk about most. Regardless if the HP to $ isn't great, it's still boost!

Exactly, especially with this platform since it's still relatively new. I like the idea of a supercharged 250

That just makes no sense to me.

I've got plenty of money... but math is still math.

For ~$4000 a potential 250 owner can gain 102 reliable hp with full factory warranty by buying a 350.

I can't understand any circumstance where it makes more sense for him to instead buy the 250 then spend $6000 in hopes of adding 50 hp with a supercharger just because "it's boost"

(plus getting bigger brakes and a different transmission with the 350 purchase as well)

Now a 350 owner? Well, to me it still makes more sense to spend an extra 10k and get 108 more hp and a WAY better transmission in an IS-F than to spend $6000 on the supercharger options we've seen for considerably less power... but at least the math isn't quite as brutally anti-supercharger as it is for 250 owners.

I suppose for the few folks in here with 250s in markets where the 350 doesn't exist they don't have many other choices, but that's a fairly limited market for a company to sell a kit that is going to produce less than 1 hp per $100.

*** kurt i agree with you that is250 guys should jus buy a is350 lol

but for the is350 guys.. jump to an F is not 10,000$ ( for cdn guys ) more like 20,000$

so i would say.. 6000$ sc kit is worth it

honestly i would rather have a booosted is350 thats heavily modded vs a stock is-f ...

how many ppl can say , my is350 is super charged ? not very many.... and how many ppl can say i have an isf ( almost anyone that can afford it )

is-f are sick no doubt but only compared to a stock is350 lol

imo of course....

The F gets you a lot more than just power for your money. The hubs are better, the brakes are better, the suspension is better, the transmission is vastly better, the seats are incredibly better...

I had no desire to run my 350 on a road course. The F runs a road course with just a brake pad change and nothing else. It's VERY competent, and leagues better than the 350.

Meh, lots of talk about superchargers and the like for the 250. I have to agree with the rest about just going with a 350 at that point.
... Now... has anyone planted a 350 into the 250 AWD? Meh, who am I kidding, I may just eventually move up to a GS350 AWD or G37X (will need a larger car eventually). But it would be pretty unique, an IS350 AWD

its not always about the power. seriously. if anyone buys a 250 and has the desire to "go fast" then they are just dumb. having a supercharged 250 is like slapping on hot pink wheels on a white car. it screams "LOOK AT MEEEE!! IM AN ATTENTION WH0RE!!!"

Excuse my English but IS-F FTMFW! If you want real power and you want to talk about who has money and who doesn't an IS-F puts your money where your mouth is. Exclusivity has nothing to do with money, real cost & delivery is where the IS-F represents all the exclusivity factors. I have an IS250 does that automatically make me poor? Funny thing is everyone forgets that they're driving what before the HS250 was considered the cheapest priced Lexus you could buy. I had the chance to buy an IS350 when I bought my IS250 for 1k less, a base model. I wasn't interested in speed, horsepower, or "look at me mine says 350" I wanted something reliable that would get me from point A to point B, be fun to drive and not take a chunk out of my pocket. Now if I sudenly desired more power then I'd see what choises I have that I can make to further power what I already have. Will I get this supercharger? Maybe. Will it be as fast as an IS350 like those guys claim? Maybe. Will it hurt to try to amuse peoples curiosities? Probably not. So to each their own. Most people never use the full potential of the 306hp 350 but they still like to feel like they're above 250 people. So get what ever makes you happy and don't go insulting other people because you think their decision is yours to make.
