01 GS300 Turbo
Hey I was just wondering if anyone knew anywhere in SoCal that
I can get a turbo kit and get it installed for cheep for my 01 GS300.
I'm looking to get around 500+HP to the rear wheels.
If anyone could help me out that would be great.
Also if you know of any drag strips around LA.

Or not. The 6 speed with an upgraded clutch will hold that much power, not the auto.
If you are sticking with the stock GE engine (the engine that came in the GS) and not doing a swap/building that motor then you aren't going to be hitting 500whp, actually, you may hit it once right before you realize you won't be driving your car for awhile because it has a trashed motor.
Secondly, the transmission in the GS factory is very weak, if you are running more than 300whp and driving the car hard (you mentioned a drag strip) you should start investing in transmissions now so you have a few spares when the stock one blows up.
Not trying to dampen your dreams but take it from someone who has probably turboed 50 Is/Gs 300's, you aren't going to hit 500whp reliably on that motor and trans combo. If you really want to do it right and hit 500whp and be reliable you need to do a motor/trans swap, a single turbo and fuel/engine management. A realistic budget would be about $7500 if you do the work yourself.

LexusGSF with a $7500 budget you can get alot more then just 500 whp. if you do it yourself. believe me i work for toyota as a TRD mechanic. this is what i have been doing for the past 8 years. I AM NOT NEW AT DOING SWAPS OR BUILDING RACE ENGINES.

NJS didnt say anything about the stock 2jz-ge engine trans. he was talking about the auto trans that comes with the 2jz-gte engine. it was made to hold up to 800 850 whp.

I've been in this game a lot longer than 8 years and have already been there and done that. It's not a pissing match but it just get's ridiculous when people come here and post total garbage with no factual basis. Everyone always posts "my friend" has this swap, or "my friend is doing my work for me and he says" etc.... Until you have the car done, and are driving it, and making the claimed power then SAVE IT.
