For the guys looking for the best intake , just wait till Static finishes with the tests . Then you will have all the info to make the best decision .

My thoughts on an intake . Waste of money if you looking for serious hp. Just save that money and put it on a SC or turbo kit .

But if you looking just to gain a couple of mpg , then its all good .

I agree with 1niceride, stop wasting money on intake/heat shield/S-AFC. The total would cost you over $1000 including tuning and installation. Not worth the money IMO.

Upon the review of Ethan's writeup, everyone will get a better sense of what the word "full" means, as opposed to "option."

does a full intake setup increase mileage? that would really help on our cars, which get friggin horrible mileage, and mine's the 300!

though i read long ago that the 400 is more efficient and actually gets better mileage

Refer to:https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...threadid=50039

In my writeup, I described why people opt to get intakes. Remember, not every GS owner is into 500rwhp. Most owners, like ClubLexus members, want to fix up their ride to look "nice".

Example: Rims, bodykit, sound system, wood steering wheel (for older GS'), maybe LSD, maybe TC, etc.

But from those results I posted, Swift Racing is the company to purchase an intake from.

Good luck.

Ethan
