how mature, resorting to name callings because you cant back up your "theories," be sure to look that word up also. the fact is, some people do no know how to drive a traditional manual transmission...and the SMGII is an easy way out for those who want a manual feel, but can't drive it. after all, if you got the money fro an m3, im sure you can fork out 2.4k for a tranny. i am sure you still insist its an auto...and than start your name calling again and material that are irrelevant to the questions i have asked you and you've yet to answer.

LexusIS300, it is simply a highly advanced automatic with manual shift capability. You know how I feel about companies using names to market their products better. I feel that it is an automatic, you feel that is is a manual. Apparently neither one of us is going to convince the other otherwise so lets just leave it at that.

BTW the point of this thread was if skfds should get a turbo for his automatic car And the answer to that is a Definate YES, end of story.

skfds, I am not sure where you can go in Guam to get your car turboed but I am sure there are places. I know if you come to the states you can bring your car to Toyomoto. They do very good work. Some members who have used them can attest to their quality. Trust me you will have soo much fun with your car if you turbo it

www.tbko.com has a shippable kit. MrMark has one on his car.

The kit cost 6500

skfds, you should definately go with them because Toyomoto does not have a shippable kit for the IS300, they have shippable kits for pre-98 GS/SC300's but nothing shippable for 98+OBII, VVTI cars.

I just wanted to add that both of you are wrong about your spelling. A lot is TWO words. It's not alot, or allot. Allot is an entirely different word meaning 'to give out a share' or 'to distribute a portion of'.

JAC JZS read the definition in the dictionary before getting on someone else for not knowing how to spell.

FYRHWK1 I have to correct my own spelling all the time, as I only learned a couple of years ago of how to correctly spell the phrase.

skfds tbko is by far your best choice. If you do it though I would try to find a show that will allow you to do some of the work on your car yourself. You will want some knowledge of how it was all installed in case that shop every disappears.

I am thinking about trading my car in for a stick shift w/ LSD. I couldn't find a stick when I went to buy my car, and since I wasn't willing to wait months for one I just went with an auto (plus getting a stick would have meant that I didn't get the deep discount I ended up with).

I told my friend I was thinking about trading in my car, and he said 'What?!?!' He said I should get a turbo instead of switching to a stick. I'm not sure what I'll do... I'll either keep my car and get another one for racing (that will of course be a stick), or trade mine in for a stick shift.
