Okay lets say you start making this product, but what shop is actually going to help us install it?? Someone probably asked already, but im too lazy to read through the pages.. lolz. Im very interested and I just did a quick DYNO so i can get some numbers for my setup rite now. If you want to use my car for this project im willing to let you guys do what you gotta do, and then im going to redo the DYNO again so i know whats up. btw, im free around December 15.
interested is350 07
doesn't headers with cats yield less gains then headers w/out?
btw i know nothing about headers so please forgive
MAYBE 1-2hp, if that. The new CATs on cars, both stock and high-flow, are not as restrictive as the CATs of old.
Don't worry about not knowing much, just do research about it and you'll learn. There are I think only two other companies that produce headers right now, PPE and Megan. (maybe JUN-TW?). Everyone who owns those headers also has exhaust (from what I know) so if you decide to get headers, I would suggest looking into an exhaust too so you can maximize your gains.
Someone can post the results from Megan's gains. PPE's are gaining anywhere between 16-21WHP. Now we're all waiting to see how IMF does as well. The more mods available the merrier!
I'd be down 06 IS350..After running out at Fontana this past weekend (Road Course) the modded Z350 Passed me down the finish banked straight, The Civic Si was right with me, & the STI just as fast..I NEED MORE HP DAMN IT! haha just can't up-grade to the IS-F yet..
So for now anything with a pretty good gain i am interested..Plan on ton more track days..If the OP wants to work with me I am going to Buttonwillow at the end of December would love to see how much time i take off with better tires, more experience & more HP well a little more...
last time i was there i was basically stock only mod was the rear F-Sway..
civic Si was with u??? are u sure ur not in a is250 lol.....
Ummm really....yeah pretty sure i have a 350..SI was modded...Trust me guys just cuz most of you are daily drivers on reg streets doesn't mean your fast on a track..The IS350 on a road course yes is quick but my *** got handed to me...Down the straight that is by most other cars...Plus the SI was all done up suspension tires & yes the motor..I might have pulled a tiny bit down the straight but with me on stock tires, he was on my *** in the turns...I turned a 2:08 at fontana for my first time..My friend does a 1:45 in his Z06 (pretty much the fastest time for his class)...He told me that my time was pretty good..So i know i drive well...Going 125mph (Thats as fast as the IS350 gets up to) in turn 1 at Fontana is a whole different ball game than street driving or a straight line race...
Here is the 350Z passing me I was at about 125mph...
I am not afraid to admit my car isn't the fastest..
PS sorry for getting off topic..Still want the headers
It seems like we have enough interest so this project is a go. I already have both an IS350 and a 250 which i can work on thanks to a few members on this forum.
This project wont start until sometime in Jan so we have a little over a month before i can start reporting anything solid. I will start doing more research this week in order to come up with a good design. Once i have the prototype i'll post pictures and then do the dyno on it.
I will keep everyone posted with as much info and pics as i can and when the time comes, i'll do a group buy. Everyone who is on the current list who ends up buying will get an additional incentive (you'll have to wait until the GB to find out what it is).
Feel free to add yourself to the interest list as i will keep track of it.
Can you show me your past track day pix where you were smoking civic SI's?
Haha thanks Toe..

yes your are right it can go up to 145ish..But at Fontana the straight wasn't long enough to get up to any speed higher than 125 before i let off going into turn one..(No brakes) I actually held into it longer than most as most would let off as i stood in on it & would catch back up to them into turn 1..My friend was riding along with me & he drives a 06 Z06 with over 500whp & he is in the turn about 125-130 (I rode along he was at 165 into turn 1, it's amazing how much speed you scrub by just letting off)..he said damn dude your at about 105-110 at apex pretty good for this car with stock tires...
This goes out to the NASCAR guys damn..how those cars are at 150+ in that turn just amazes me..Those cars are awesome..
Sorry this has turned away from headers didn't mean for it to get off topic.
