If you offer CATs at an additional charge, would it still bolt on to the stock exhaust or whatever? The PPE one's claim it still has CATs, but that's only because it's counting the secondary CATs.

FYI, PPE is not counting the secondary CATs cause they offer HFCs with their headers, which it sounds like IMF will do as well.

i wish 650 ... ppe quoted me around a little over 1000$ for a set what are u talkin bout 650 ....

edit:

Pricing and options:
Bare or painted mild steel headers are $650.00
Stainless steel cats are extra $350.00
JET HOT ceramic coating for the headers is $200.00 for polished coating and $250.00 for the black race coating

add that all up is what your cost is going to be for that " 17" whp

lol you just stated what I "was talkin bout". I said PPE's headers start at $650, which is exactly what you just put.

I assume IMF would have a similar price plan to PPE since they just previously posted that CATs would be extra.

I think it's great IMF is considering this, the more companies that start producing after-market products for our cars, the better it will be for us as consumers who want to make our cars go faster!

But the HFC aren't actually part of the header but part of the exhaust. Unless I'm missing something about what they did...

Headers will be anywhere from $599 to $699 depending on final design and such. Plus dont forget they will be made out of 304 stainless, not mild steel. Stainless costs a lot more then mild steel and is a better product. There wont be any need to do any type of coating on the headers i am going to offer. There is only one way to order them and that's it. The high flow cats is an additional item which you would be able to add to the headers.

I don't know what the final cost on the high flow cats is going to be but i am going to guess around $300 give or take.

It will still be cheaper then PPE plus you will be getting 304 stainless. Assuming i can get the same power results if not better you will be getting a superior product for less money then the PPE headers.

In reality, no one orders the PPE headers bare, it would be a waste of money unless you are going to ceramic coat them on your own for less money. So realistically you will be spending around $850 minimum on their headers versus $599 minimum to $699 max for the IMF headers.

Only headers. Cats are extra. Did you mean only headers or headers and cats for $600?

I cant speak for everyone, but most IS 250 owners wont mind spending 1000 on headers+cats in exchange for 20whp.

I wish it was possible but that will put me out of business. Not good for me or anyone else if i cant keep making new parts.

In all honesty the high flow cats wont have much profit at all on them, i am mainly going to offer it so people can use cats if that's what they want or need. Price out two quality OBDII high flow cats, then add shipping on top of the price, then labor/time and extra piping to make it a 100% bolt on, packaging, inventory and you are looking at maybe $50 profit.

Consider the high flow cats option as a freebie. I am only going to offer it to keep my customers happy and offer them options. I am a new business and i want to build it up, that's why i am offering lower pricing then competition with better quality. I can afford to pass on the savings to you guys but any lower pricing then i already quoted just wont make business sense. I promise to offer the best deals with superior quality, i hope that's good enough.
