do any of you know what the cause for the backfiring is? I'm running dual muffler deletes and an invidia mid pipe (stock intake and headers if anyone's wondering) but I still do not get any backfiring from my 250. My secondary cats, resonator, and mufflers are all gone. I really want backfire from my exhaust but I cannot seem to think of any way of how to get it. thanks!

Unburnt fuel in the exhaust is ignited via heat.

You aren't running rich enough or you're EGTs aren't high enough. It not necessarily a good thing to back fire. Its not bad but because you aren't doing it doesn't mean anything is wrong.

If you want the greatness chance to backfire, do some WOT pulls when the motor is COLD from an overnight rest.

I have an Invidia midpipe and muffler deletes. The car backfires like crazy when completely warmed up. I would just coast and when I lightly tap the gas again, it backfires loud almost sounding like a gunshot. I like it but hate when it happens at times. Sometimes I'm driving with someone next to me with their window open and it backfires and scares the crap out of them lol.

Nah I'm running invidia mid pipes (which replaces both secondary cats and resonator) with dual muffler deletes and it's only backfired like two times before when downshifting from second down into first. I still don't know how to get backfire, I've considered removing primary cats as well but I don't think that would be a good idea at all.

Really? Are you using stock piping? Because I have muffler deletes with the megan racing axle back system and I dont get backfire like at all. Not sure if the pipe size has anything to do with it.

Why would you want your to backfire? It running rich isn't good either. Sounds like nonsense and do you think it makes it sound fast? It's only a 250.
