I have a fsport exhaust and I've noticed that it makes popping sounds when I slow down for a red light. Is this "backfiring" or is there something wrong with my fsport?

i think its the difference in piping mine started to do the same when i switch from the N1 to a kakimoto exhasut.

the mid pipe is 2 1/2 piping and the axleback piping is 3 1/2 with a 4 1/2 in tip

I LOVE IT when it backfires
and it has a much deeper note

When I had stock mid pipe and custom mufflers, it would backfire also.

I'm sure it backfires STOCK, but you just cant hear it, cause the mufflers MUFFLE the sound...

By the way-- straight pipe, the car sounds like a modded rsx or honda 4banger, and the backfires are LOUDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!! Everywhere I drove, heads turned like what the heck is that, and the look of confusion was on their faces LOL.

Needless to say, that didn't last long

got a Muffler lol

Yup, just like everyone said, i have invidia with greddy sp2, and when slowing down from say 40 to 0, it backfires a bit, sounds mean!

When i had LMS it would pop all the time slowing down on 1st gear
