I look forward to the write-up and dyno. Thanks a bunch for going out of your way and providing all of us with the information at your expense and time. Much appreciated. Waiting patiently....
Dave & Gene you guys are definitley the best for all that you do for CL and for all the effort you are putting forth on the TM group buy and dyno results. My hat is off too the both of you!!
i know i read that to and they said they wouldnt do anything about the damage that happened to the engine but i think it was in a race cars engine, and it might of been the old plugs...

So far with the Star series, ZERO problems. This is on a GS400, GS430, Regal Supercharged GS and a brand new Subaru Legacy. (That little engine needed it!)
The older S type (not STAR) had idling problems. They worked fine with the more powerful "points" type ignition but didn't work too well with distributorless systems.
Thanks for doing us a favor in doing the dyno. I just sent my order for a set of Star Series TM plugs to Steve Ganz. Can't wait to get them installed.
Just did a brief search and found that this theory of spark plug design is catching on. Not only does Bosch have a similar design but I found another company selling what they call Halo Spark Plugs. (No application for Lexus GS yet) At $6.95 I question the quality.
I need some pointer here. Where are the plugs located in GS4?
Take off the top cover. There should be 4 10mm bolts holding it in place. Once when the cover is off, look for a small black 20mm x 20mm "pack" with a 10mm bolt attached to it. That's the "coil pack". Remove the 10mm bolt and lift the coil pack up. Spark plug is way down there!

Percy,
Thanks for the pointer. Hopefully I can reach those plugs with my fat fingers.
