hello my sister ownes a 02 gs300. she told me the car died on her while driving and she needed a jump to get back home. my first instinct was the alternator, when i looked under the hood i saw some sulfation on the negative battery terminal. so i poured some diet coke, wiped it off, and sanded down with 100grit. when i connected the terminal back on the car would make a low beeping noise that sounds like the blinkers are on but there not, putting the key in the drivers door and unlocking it will turn it off. the battery has 12.6 volts but when i try to turn on the car nothing turns on except for the door open light and what i believe is the alarm light will blink(looks like a car icon with a key inside on the left side of the steering wheel). i pulled the ecu fuse and waited 5 minutes but no luck. i even tryed jump starting it with my sc300 but still no luck. im new to this gs forum so im still searching. im suspecting the alarm has something to do with this. any help is very much appriciated. im suspecting the alarm has something to do with this
p.s i asked her if the battery light or abs light came on when the car was dieing as my sc300 did when the alternator died and she said no, no even a check engine light.

update: i checked all the fuses there good. i disconnected the battery for even longer this time and when i connected it back the alarm started going off, i think the car thinks im trying to steal it. i tryed starting it again and i hear a loud buzzing noise, i traced it to the relays right next to the abs moduale, the buzzing feels like its coming from the traction control relay. BUT, if i take out the horn relay and put the keys in the ignition the dash lights all turn on back to normal..except still no start.

 

Had this problem about a month ago and had that much AMPS also, however I also had a bad cell. Have the battery checked.
