I parked my car outside my house at 12'o clock today afternoon. Later on around 4'o clock my parent was telling me my car is beeping and the signal lights + brake lights was flashing. I went down and trying to unlock the door with the key fob but with no response. I immediately knew the battery was dead. I opened the door with the mechanical key and try to start the car, as expected it won't even crank. But my caution light is on the off position and non of the interior light was on. Here's what I don't understand why the battery dead and why all the light was flashing, horn was beeping. Did this happened to anyone and what could be the cause? TIA

 

Sounds like you're alarm wen't of and drained the battery.

 

Did you check the battery to verify, but sounds like the alarm went off and drained your battery as GS350Lexus said.

 

Isn't the alarm will only trigged if door is unauthorized open? Battery checked and it was fine after recharge.

 

What was your method to test your battery to say that it was 'fine after a recharge'? Do you have a load tester and can you tell us how many CCA's it's putting out?

 

I went to autozone they checked it for me.

 

It may be the battery terminal cables or worse your alternator go back and have em check those out too
