Default F-Sport Exhaust system

Hey peoples. I'm kinda new here and new to mods on my 07' IS 250 AWD. Currently, all I put into it is a Fujita SRI. I've now got the itch to do much more. One of my next steps would like to be the F-sport exhaust system. I read the specs at f-sport.com and other sites, but don't have any actual opinions from people who have done nice mods on their cars. Hence why I am writing this new thread here.

Does anybody have any input on the f-sport exhaust system? Is it worth it or are there other exhaust systems that are much more worth it/better? Also, does anybody know if it screws up the warranty?

Any constructive input would be very much appreciated. Thanx.

There's a tremendous amount of constructive information in this forum about the F-Sport exhaust and many others. I can already hear the groans from the peanut gallery about yet another F-Sport exhaust thread. So, I would suggest poking about a bit, finding something specific you want to know about it, and then if you don't find what you need, continue the thread.

I would suggest starting here.

the f-sport exhaust is great, its lexus OEM so it keeps the cars warranty and includes one in the part itself..if u are down for it jump on the sewell sale because it ends on the 31st and its almost 1/2 the retail price.. www.sewellpartsonline.com (go to f-sport performance) n put THENEWDEAL in for coupon..don't wait if u want it!!!

And every other axle-back, including the ones that offer the same hp gains for less money, ALSO "keeps the cars warranty" because an axle-back exhaust should have no impact at all on your factory warranty coverage for anything except the actual part you're replacing (which will come with its own warranty from whomever makes it)

NOTHING aftermarket "screws up your warranty" as a whole; The only time it has any impact at all is if your aftermarket part _causes_ a problem, at which point they're simply not obligated to fix _that_ problem- the rest of the warranty remains in force.

All that said, if you really like the sound of it, the F-sport is as good as anything else quality wise, and adds the same hp gains as all the other axle-back systems.

if you want a quieter system (for less money and the same gains) I'd point you toward the Tanabe exhaust.

I got mine installed this month, and I am really, really enjoying it. I wasn't sure the first few days, because it is quite loud. I've already gotten used to it, though. It sounds very good. It's easy to change out if you don't like it (save your old one). It's 1 hour or less for labor, so it's a cheap installation/deinstallation.

^ if you thought the f-sport exhaust was loud, then the HKS hi-power is, what, deafening?
