Default Removal of Sec. Cats/Resonator

I was wondering if anyone had any issues with the o2 sensors giving you a CEL after removing the secondary cats? Any modifications necessary for those after the cats are removed? Also, I've searched about resonators, and wondering if anyone had any issues other than legality and noise? Thanks for the help

I removed the secondary cats on my F with no issues. The JoeZ exhaust for the ISX50 removes the secondary cats I believe,

See my post below:

I had the LMS exhaust and it removed the secondary cats...the rear o2 sensors only monitor converter efficiency so you wont have a problem with A/F mixture issues which the primary o2 sensors do. What are you planning on doing??? megan mids or just hack it off??!!! btw it will be Loud as ***..so enjoy and becareful of the popo!

Thanks for the response guys. It's good to know I won't have to worry about issues with the o2 sensors (when removing secondary cats). The plan would be to remove the secondary cats and replace it with a pipe that has good mandrel bends. The resonator would obviously be a bit easier.

I would love to do the Megan Mid-Pipe, but I'm still waiting on a response from several vendors to get the best price.

I've cut out my secondary cats and res and have a HKS hipower exhaust lol. It sounds insane! I love it. No issues what so ever.

Great to hear! I was talking to a buddy of mine about doing the same mod. What diameter piping did you end up going with? The same diameter, or went larger?

Also, how much louder did it get?

I was thinking of adding some glasspacks/cherry bomb or the like to curb the sound a bit. It still leaves the set up straight thru.

Actually I saw an electric model of the glasspack/cherrybomb too that caught my eye, it has an electric butterfly that you can open and close as you choose. When riding with the wife and kids, I would keep it close, but when driving alone, leave it wide open.

Yeah, thought about it, but I have a Tanabe cat back, that is why I was thinking of going that route.

I've considered the Joe Z exhaust, but I'd rather keep my F-Sport and swap out the stock piping. How bout it Joe Z... make a mid-pipe?

It will probably cost close to the Megan Midpipe. I would rather stick with the Megans..
