It will only make a difference if you are running FI. It allows the plugs to run a bigger gap without a reduced spark. If you are having hesitation (for lack of a better word, you would know what I mean if you have it) under high boost/upper rpm range then a DLI will most likely clear it up.

As macd7919 said...no difference if you're NA. Only really necessary to run it if you're boosting 25-30psi+. Low boost levels under 20psi runs just fine on the stock GS ignition system.

No, don't switch to copper plugs. Iridiums are the best plug for your application, idk who told you that but yea....don't switch. When you say mid throttle do you mean cruising? If you are getting some sputtering under cruising but not full throttle that could be in your tuning. You could also try gapping down your plugs, a car running without a DLI should usually be around .028 or even as low as a .026, see if that helps.

Why not copper plugs? Most of the Supra guys run the NGK copper plugs. I run that in my car as well and it hold just perfect to 30psi.

We have ran NGK coppers, and iridiums in our customer's Supra.
Iridiums will last alot longer than copper, but are bit harder to spark.
Running the DLI on his car and we have gapped down to .018 with it.

My old Supra with no DLI ran coppers and gapped down to .026.
Every car will vary honestly, so there is no for sure definative answer.
It cant hurt you to run one for sure though.
Longest I went on my NGK 3330's was about 7,000mi before they wouldnt hold idle.

I have a brand new never used HKS DLI for distributor type set ups such
as NA Supras, SC300, GS300, etc...

I use Iridiums because they work just as well and last way longer. It's not fun to change plugs all the time on these cars and I got sick of burning through standard plugs every 3000 miles.

Don't use an MSD, for whatever reason they have a high rate of failure on our applications, that's why they aren't very popular on Supra's/Is's etc...

HKS DLI has the optional patch harness so you dont have to cut anything and just plug and play for the NA(originally) models.
The turbo models require hardwiring.
