Default Project SleepSter: Let's get to it.

Mods feel free to move this to performance if you see fit.

Yes guys, I've decided that it's time for me to pull the trigger on NA-T. I just scored a super deal on a manifold, greddy BOV and intercooler, now just scrounging around for deals on the rest of my stuff. I would like to keep this as a build thread, comments are welcome, and I'll be posting with updates. I plan to acquire all the parts before putting any on, this way I save on labor somewhat and do it right, the first time. At first I wanted to go about 8psi and not do much work, but I've realized there are plenty of avenues to get good deals on stuff, so I'll be planning to go 12-14psi by the end of things, with a goal of around 350rwhp. I will be posting the prices of items as I acquire them.

Oh, also, my goal is to keep my build cost as close to 2k as i can. As things are going right now, by taking my time it seems i may be able to pull it off, or at least come close. I'm aware the reality is that i'll likely end up shelling out more, but at least it won't be all at once haha.

Base Setup (7-9psi):

-t57 turbo
-XSpower manifold
-HKS style 40mm wastegate
-Greddy Type S style BOV
-440cc injectors/clips
-Walbro 255lph fuel pump
-AEM FI/C
-Generic FMIC, may not be running this afterall

Parts in the works (hopefully within 2 weeks as of 2-12-09)

-Innovate or PLX wideband
-XSpower electronic boost controller/turbo timer/boost display gauge
-NGK iridium plugs (which heat range btw?)
-Aeromotive a1000(-6 maybe) fuel pressure regulator
-Ebay intake pipe/k&n cone (will sell and buy a blitz filter)
-Greddy Catch can
-Function7 fittings, oil line kit
-B&M trans cooler
-Custom fabbed IC piping (maybe) and 3" exhaust from turbo back
-Dependent upon price, Meth injection

^^That seems like a lot of stuff but Progress should be fairly quick on that front. I have some maintenance items to pick up in between (timing belt, Control arm bushings, sway bar bushings, battery, change diff fluid, trans flush) so I'm hoping to have the whole base setup installed by the end of march, and boosting reliably at appx 8psi and ~300rwhp. If i end up running meth, I will be at higher psi sooner. This will make for a very spirited car considering she only put down 170 to the wheels stock.

As far as stage 2's parts are concerned:

-crower stage 2 cams
-gaskets and seals (if necessary)
-XSpower SS Valvebody rods
-Limited Slip Diff (supra 3.76 or similar)
-Trans temp and oil pressure to turbo gauges
-ARP head studs
-Titan exhaust cam gear
-3" exhaust cutout
-Supra TT rods/pistons
-Higher stall torque converter

^^Once all that is done I want to be at or above 400rwhp, at which point i may do the sprag gear and clutch pack upgrades to keep it reliable.

UPDATE 2.7.09: Just talked to a local shop, gonna be going in for a baseline dyno on monday to check out the weak numbers haha that way i can appreciate the difference when it's all done.

Update: 2.12.09: Added parts that have been purchased and what's left. If you know of anyone selling any of the stuff i need for cheap please let me know! Car made 170rwhp and 168ft./lbs of torque dead bone stock. A decent starting point.

sounds good bro, once the weather gets better there's gonna be a lot of meets around here. I'm also hoping to get all the stuff and have it installed ideally by my birthday (may 13)or at the latest June, right before I go on vaca from school for a month haha.
