An XS power turbine? Aren't those the eBay ones that break all the time?

Unfortunately I don't quite have the cash to drop on one of those now, hence the t57.

The whole build's on a budget, and i think right now i'm setting records with my (cost) numbers although buying a kit would have been sooo much easier.

I ended up paying about $1,050 for my kit pieced together from all new components. I went with universal piping that had a rolled lip on each end, high quality T Clamps, 3 ply silicon couplers and high quality oil feed/return lines with function7 turbo oil feed/return adapters with Boost logic upper oil pan return adapter.

I now have about 2,000 miles so far with a lot of hard driving on my value kit and (knock on wood) no problems yet. Went on pretty easy too. I'll never buy another greddy or name brand kit again!

My baseline dyno was 175rwhp and about the same tq. I'm guessing it's 350-370 now with 11lbs of boost on stock fuel with the meth injection.

no, this is from mark over at clubna-t.com. The same guy that makes the kits sold through the suprastore. Like i said, this is only going to be a temporary unit running 8psi until i can afford a gt35r or t62-1 for when i up the boost.

Damn man that's seriously pushing it. If you even hit a minor hiccup the the fuel or methanol injectors the engine will be done instantly. Completely stock fuel system can handle about 300-320rwhp and that's seriously pushing it and running the engine lean at about 12.5:1 AFR. With the methanol on top to fuel the engine a little more, you're probably still running a bit on the lean side at the moment with the additional HP. Make sure your stock fuel system is in pristine condition because a lean out at full boost will toast the engine. I'm sure you know that though if you built your own setup. But I'm just giving you a heads up.

Not just one extinguisher. I would recommend a smaller one in the cabin and a bigger one in the trunk. Right now I have a 5lb ABC chemical extinguisher in the back seat and a 15lb CO2 extinguisher in the trunk. Anytime you push the limits of a car past original factory design...ALWAYS plan ahead for fire prevention.

300rwhp? That's it?...that's all the stock fuel system can handle? I wanna hit 280-300rwhp and I'm done modding for power and will switch toward handling (got some handling done already).

Man, hate to have to switch 8 injectors (and what not that goes with it)...more research for me.

****-fornia--ugh!

The GS300 stock injectors max out at around 280-300. The GS400/430 can do a little more.
