To those of you who have changed their torque converter to an aftermarket one, I would like to know of your overall impression. I know it will feel much better on the launch, but if you could give me your opinion on freeway drivability, stop and go city driving, would you change the stall to be a little higher or lower etc. I would really appreciate the information.
HI - Had my Dragon for a little over a year & haven't noticed any drivability change other than the better launches. I lost a little mpg ( maybe 1 ) in highway driving but it's a great tradeoff for the fun!! Personally, I'd stall the TC a little higher ( to 3k ) but I'm sure research indicates that 2600-2800 is ideal for the GS. Besides, it'll flash-stall to 3000 now & when I add the S/C or nitrous, it'll be too much for the tires ( but FUN!! ).
Guys - I soon as I finish working on an Electronics Q&A post with Percy, I'll put up all the numbers I have regarding performance improvement after each modification I've done over the last 1.5 years - like I did for my lateral G's after each suspension change. With the new site, maybe I better dig those up as well & repost.

Fever & others - Just put up my 0-60 numbers in the FAQ section under the "Performance" category as the question "What Kind of Improvements ******?" Hope that helps some of ya make modification decisions.
i felt a big improvement on the freeway when trying to merge in traffic or switch lanes. your from Hawaii, you know how we drive here. during stop and go traffic you'll feel the difference from the stock converter. im really glad when i changed my converter. i ordered it from precision industries with a stall of 2,800. but before i ordered it i talked to mo at swift and he recommend the stall to be between 2,600 and 2,800 rpm's. the reason i went with 2,800 is if i decide to do more modifications to make more power i won't have to worry about changing the converter again. since your i god's country you can find me at WMR...

From what I've read on here, you can't use the TC for the GS400 on the GS300. I believe a new one coming out for the IS300 will also work on the GS300.
