Default Q about 98-02 GS turbo kits

I'm new to this place, and so I'm not sure if this topic was ever discussed before. If there are any mechanical gurus on this forum, my question concerns the application of a turbo system to the 98 and newer GS300s out there.

In short, is there a turbo system out there for the 98-02 Lexus gs300s?

I understand that the 93-97 gs300 have turbo kits (ex. fmax), but i haven't seen any sites that have show applications for the 98 models. Are there any out there?

Is there a problem with the engine because it utilizes VVT-I, or complex ecu?

thanks

ps. by the way, has anyone tried using the Greddy turbo kit for the is300 in their GS300 already?

I was thinking about using that kit for my GS300. i am wondering the same thing. Also those kits for the N/A Supra on Supra Store look nice. Will they work on 98+ GS300's. Any info would help greatly.

Default Turbo GS

You can call Toyomoto in miami 1(305)599-3050 . They will be able to turbo the 98+ GS300 for around $5500 to start I think.

buy the GReddy kit... do the neccessary fabrication to make it work with the GS. shouldn't be much stuff considering its the same engine and tranny.

I highly disagree... if you are talking about the T78. The standard fuel system on the GS300 will not support the turbo. Also it will cost you an arm and a leg to modify the flange for the manifold. Let alone you need engine management.

no no no T78 is too big!! im talking only abotu a 100HP system here.. 6-8PSI most. less than the 400HP limit for the GS fuel system. im sure the IS300 kit doens't use a T78, though i've never heard of a kit for the IS300... i dotn see why GReddy would use T78 unless it wasspecial order. also i checked the GReddy site and the supra turbo kits are like 5000-6000 bucks! in that case i DEFINATLY think u should go to toyomoto. i was thinking 2000-3000 for GReddy and 1000 for fixing it up to work GS300.
