So how bad is the car that has LSD but no traction control? My traction control is permanently disabled now due to the standalone ecu for the engine.
I can control slides and drifts in this car no problem...most of the time. I spun out on the highway one time when it was raining really hard and I had bald tires lol. I managed to straighten the car out after a spin and continue on the highway as if nothing happened lol. Kinda like something out of a movie
And no, I did not mean to spin out on purpose lol. Car hydroplaned over a deep puddle over water on the highway because I had bald tires. I spun all the way around because I wasn't paying 100% attention when I should have been. Driving in heavy rain with bald tires takes 100% concentration....even a slight distraction can result in some serious consequences. Note to all, don't drive on bald tires lol.

just being a smart ***.. some aristos came with a factory lsd..
That isn't being a smart ***, the aristo's with the 2jzgte come with lsd because it's the same or very similar drivetrains. The awesome thing about the Aristo TT is that it's basically a 4 door luxury supra.
I need a rear end now.. my car has the motor and tranny to hold some power, my tuner took my car for a drive and told me the car barely gets into boost in 1st and 2nd gear with the stock 3.92 rear end. Whats the story on the GS400/430 rear end? These do come with torsen units correct? Will they bolt up to the axles in the GS300? How about the driveshaft? I would like to install a 3.13 6 speed rear but the used market is dried up and a new one is over $2200.00. Any info on the GS400/430 rears is appriciated.
considering a gs300 pumpkin with the torsen lsd unit in my gs400 for 3.92 gearing and lsd functionality, will this work? will it be any weaker than putting the torsen unit in my stock gs4 pumpkin? what would be the ups?/ downs to this? would you say since at 80 mph the 3.76 tt rear end is at 3000 rpms then the gs3 pumpkin with the torsen lsd unit would 3200 rpms at 80 mph?

Probably @ 3200 maybe even 3300 but your top speed will be mechanically limited to around 125-130mph. It will have greater acceleration from any gear though. GL!

Yes it will work fine, the GS400 / GS400 have basically the same rear as the Auto Supra TT. The ring gear is identical, you can install a TRD, Kaaz, or stock Supra Auto Torsen lsd in your GS400 or GS300 rear end, it works perfect. You will get better gearing for 1/4 mile performace with the GS300 rear, then you can sell your GS400 rear on Supraforums for $350 or so as it has the gearing the manual guys are after. I have my auto GS300 diff for sale, $130.00 + Shipping, out of a 2001 GS300.
Some good pionts the GS 300 has 3.92 the auto supra has 3.76 I'm not sure on the 6 speed supra I think 3.13 I have a GS 300 got a good deal on a auto supra diff so I just took the carrier out and swaped it all over to my GS housing and R&P worked great I got 3.92 and traction
..The main reason why many (including me) side with the Supra 3.76 rear is for the LSD portion of it. The GS300 3.92 rear is still an open diff. yet offers a little bit steeper gearing.
