I think you have another problem with your car. It's not just the drop of the acceleration in the 3rd gear as you said.

I guess there is something wrong with your customization as well. Before installing those rims. Have you checked how heavy are they? and not just your rims have you checked how heavy your tires are?

If you have something light installed there I guess your car will jump faster, and run faster. I installed on my car rims which wight 27lbs and I find problem in acceleration unlike when I had the stock rims and tires.

 

My wheels are 1pc full forged the wheels. It probably weighs a little more than my spare tire. By far these are the lightest wheels I've ever seen. As I said before it was the belt slipping in 3rd and 4th, you can clearly hear it. But that doesn't matter anymore because I fixed it! Now time for some meth and a dyno. I'm probably going to dyno before the meth.

 

Did you ever get any pics of your pulley set-up that prevented the slippage? By the way, what body hit do you have? It looks great in white.

 

No I didn't get any pics but I'll try. I basically had a local shop that is a Procharger dealer make me custom tensioner pulleys, but the first time he made them one wasn't the right size so it still slipped. So he redid the one pulley and now it pulls like a mother! And my lip kit is a Vertex Digna, custom painted of course

 

Vertex sides & rear? I take it you are running the really small pulley (2.25) with the 290 or 288 belt?

 

I don't know the size of the SC pulley cause I bought the kit used. I know it is smaller and yes I'm running a 288 belt. Its a full Vertex lip kit.

 

Did you ever find out what yours boosting w/ that set up? Did you ever reach 5 psi?

 

Oh I forgot to update LOL I finally got everything fixed! I'm now boosting 5.5lbs with the smaller pulley FULL BOOST BABY!!

 

That is awesome that you can get that much and not mess w/ the factory ECU. Do you plan on dynoing anytime soon?

 

I will as soon as I get meth. Right now it runs really good, but I heard with meth it just runs so much smoother, on top of that, I get another 20hp

Did you stick w/ the Synapse BOV and ditch the HKS?
