Default Whats better, SRT+ECU or K&N+NEO?

I can't decided what to put on my 2000 GS400. The SRT with their Race ECU or a K&N intake with the Apexi NEO. I already have a Borla exhaust with 2 resonators removed, lowered on 20's. I want more power but also a little more mpg would help to for the long drives.

What would you all suggest?

Anytime you add performance mods, you can throw MPG out the window, I vote SRT intake

....Depends. Will you mod more in the future like headers and exhaust? If so, definitely go with the K&N intake and the Neo; that's what I did. If you are NOT going to mod anymore than this intake; get the SRT.

Just an FYI...they say that a GS4XX typically dyno's around 245whp stock. I am currently at just about 270whp. I only have the K&N FIPK intake and the Apexi Neo (tuned) along with a Borla exhaust (however people say that the exhaust MIGHT give you 2whp). So, in essence my car MADE somewhere between 20 and 25 WHP!!! just with this K&N intake and the NEO! I KNOW the SRT will NOT mach this...maybe 15whp will come out of the SRT. GL on your choice.

Many performance mods like; exhausts, headers, some computers/ECU's/chips, intakes, lightweight wheels, flywheels, and underprive pulleys actually increase MPG's by finding hidden horsepower and making the motor more efficient.

I went ahead and ordered the SRT intake with the ECU from Swift Racing. If I isn't as good as they say, then I will pull the ECU and try the NEO.

I also removed all 3 resonators from the exhaust, and now my Borlas let everyone know I have a V8!

Type in GS400 Borla into youtube search. It sounds like the white GS taking off from a stop sign.

Default srt

the srt intake/ecu is a must have in my opinion for the gs400....the perfect combination of growl and torque (and even a bit of a turbo-like whistle)...

Has anyone done this? What were the results? My next mods to do, that I've had for some time now is SRT piping with NEO. I hope it works, because the maf can't read correctly with the SRT piping.

I went this route and it is perfect for me. The car pulls better from a stop and has quicker acceleration. Plus, it was easy to install and I don't have to mess with getting a tune. Just what I was looking for.

Default nice

congrats on the upgrade...i just installed my new srt intake/ecu on my gs430 tonight...i'm with you....it's a perfect upgrade as it's not loud all the time but when you want it the growl and torque are there. i do love the sound, especially above 4500 rpms.
