Default The mad scientist! New turbo!

I think I have the same syndrome as HI98GS. We can't get enough speed lol!
I swear, every week since 3 weeks ago I've been dropping half a second off my 1/4 mile time lol. This week should be no different

It's an addiction/obsession for me these past few weeks, I don't know why. I hope to kick it soon before I go flat broke lol. BTW: I still have the BIG HKS T51R turbo going in sometime in the future. This turbo is just an intermediate step heh...

Precision 67mm Ball Bearing water cooled turbo. Man was it a PAIN in the A to install.

BTW: This picture below is of my HKS turbo(currently being rebuilt). It's truly a monster lol!

That's huge! When are you going back to the track?

Looks like someone's popular on AIM.

Jeff,
You are truly mad!! I think that all that work under the hood has gotten some fumes to the brain . Incredible that you have been doing the build up like a Gran Tourismo game. I would have thought that you would just go big instead of intermediate, but this is sure fun for me to watch. (Even thought I am across the pond in Hawaii) I have been doing my build with the entire thought of getting more power. I would love to have checked my 1/4 mile times with each of my steps, as you have, but unfortunately the local drag strip here in Honolulu was closed nearly 3-4 years ago and we are waiting for a new one to be built. So I don't have times, I will have dyno numbers when I am done. Have fun at the track!
hmmmmmmmmmmmm
How much to ship my car to Texas .............. maybe I could join you LOL. I only hope to keep up.

Jeff, you are a mad scientist!!

Here's a quote taken from one of forum mods, Gsoup, and it is a fitting one:
"No great genius has ever existed without some touch of madness." - Aristotle

Holy freaking cow, this turbo is freaking ridiculous lol. It spools so loud that I can hear it over the exhaust. Also, when I open the exhaust cutout...all you hear is the turbo spooling lol. It's awesome

The only downside is that it spools 500rpm slower than my previous turbo since it's bigger. The upside is that it makes more power than before. The power I made at 21psi before, this turbo is able to do at 15psi(need to raise it up to 21psi to test soon). I was used to instant boost at the blip of the throttle. Now it's more of a downshift, floor it, wait 1sec, and then bam
