I would just bring it to a tranny shop and pay $300-$400 bucks and get it fixed. I think it could be an install issue...not a problem with the internals of the TC. I'm sure they could figure it out. The more you wait the more something else (that works good right now) could become damaged later on from your initial problem. Good luck man.

I tis very easy to check the TC bolts. Just remove the inspection plate on the bottom of the tranny and have someone turn the motor over by hand with a wrench on the crank bolt. Make sure each one is tight.

If I were you I would check all the bolts in the drive shaft it sounds like something is not tight or missing. You way want to see if anywhere close to you can balance it.

Just my two cents.

I'd call or email the PI folks directly to ask them, suspect they'll have the most knowledge of this specific issue.

Nano, did you do the recommended simple test? Place car in neutral and slowly raise and lower RPMs... if it is smooth the converter is in balance and you need to look elsewhere. Follow Dave's advice and call PI. Get someone that is knowledgeable to check for mount problems (engine and tranny).

Also, does the car vibrate at 2800rpms in OTHER gears? This is a fixable problem.

If I spend $300 to $400 I will just put the old one back in and just sell this PI TC. I just dont want to gamble and deal with it anymore if it comes down to that point.

I appreciate everyone's input, lets just hope for the best.
