Didn't want to start another thread so I will just add my comments to this one. I just got my PI TC installed and i noticed the needle reaching the higher RPMs quicker but I don't notice that KICK that I was expecting. Its a very fast smooth shift but not that kick off the line... should i reset the car? Any help will be appreciated.

Am I expecting too much?

Yea but the GS3's stall speed is already set kind of high so it wouldn't be all that beneficial.

I see that you have some 20's. I have 17" rims and I am sure that the bigger/heavier wheels make the results different. From a stop I have no problem getting the tires to peel out. Sometimes the car will even shift into second gear while peeling out. I don't know if that has to do with the smaller tires or if something else has to play into that.

I will be upgrading to some 19" rims soon so I will be able to put my input for that.

Try unplugging the battery and or double check to make sure that it was in fact a 2800 stall speed.

Thanks for the reply...the buyer told me it was a 2800 stall speed. How can I get it checked. I do have 20s and a speaker system in the back. It just seems like my car is shifting the way it should its just that i don't feel it....I was really excited for this mod and now it is like

anyone else can input your experience.

...do you have black magic marker? or remove the bulbs...lol. You have a GS400...you shouldn't be getting any CEL. Check to make sure your tranny level is not too low or too high...believe it or not even a couple of ounces under or over will make our tranny's do very funny things. Also, make sure that you used Toyota type IV or AMSOIL ATF trans fluid (a little too late now though if you didn't). Then re-set your ECU...at least 30 minutes.

I did use Amsoil Atf trans fluid. I did reset the ecu for about couple hours. I don't know why i am getting it. I am also having a hard time starting the car. It doesn't want to start at first and then when i give it a couple turns it starts and then i have to pounce on the gas pedal at first to keep it steady running. It happpens everytime i start the car....why?

Yep, open diff. I guess if you're going in a straight line on a flat surface the weight is pretty evenly distibuted and both tires hook up. Pretty cool.
