Talking Lsportline Exhaust

I was wondering if anybody can tell me if they have had any experience with the LSportline Exhaust for the GS (gs300 in my case). Specifically, is the sound loud? I am looking to upgrade my stock exhausts and have been looking for the quietest (isn't everybody) exhaust in the market for the GS.

I've pretty much broken it down to 2 mufflers. The LSportline and the TTE. I have heard neither one but they're both exhausts made by tuners so i figure their performance is adept and the soudn minimal. However, the TTE duals requires cutting so I'm straying towards the Lsportline.

Can anybody help me? I would appreciate it

PS: Does anybody have a pic of the Lsportline exhaust on a regular stock rear bumper? The only pics I've seen are with the Lsportline bumper.

have you thought about the L-Tuned exhaust. Fits nice with a slight growl to it. I payed $600. I heard the L-Sportline exhaust is over $900 and is louder than the L-tuned. Pretty expensive for an exhaust IMO. Here is a pic of the L-tuned on my car...

hi
in order to have the Lsportline muffler, u HAVE to buy the Lsportline rear bumper as well, that is why u will only see the Lsportline muffler with the Lsportline rear bumper.
the sound of the Lsportline is outstanding, as well as the look.
it is not louder than the Ltuned muffler. Ltuned muffer sounds good but the thing is that the Ltuned muffler will give u a resonance between 2000 to 3000 rpm, where as the Lsportline stays quieter between 2000 rpm to 3000 rpm. both have nice deep tone. i have had Ltuned muffler and i am gonna get the Lsportline muffer soon, both are nice i'd say

Hi Andrew,

It's great that you have had teh Ltuned and are getting the lsportline exhaust soon. I already ordered mine (great price ) but it won't arrive till eoFeb so I have enough time to cancel.

I was wondering, 1) why you are changing exhausts from the Ltuned to the Lsportline and 2) do you have the Lsportline rear bumper (since you say you can't have the exhaust w/o the rear bumper) and if so 3) can you show me a picture?

Ryan

I have had the exhaust for about 4 months now and have not been hassled by cops at all. However, if I did get harrased about my exhaust, I'd go to court to fight it. The tips just seem to blend in with the car. Doesn't look aftermarket...not loud either.

LXOGOOD- do you have any profile shots of your rig? I'd like to see how the exhaust looks from a low side shot. What do you think the % increase in sound is from the stock to the L-Tuned? Thanks.

Bad-gs400, the sound level increased only a bit when under 3000 rpm's. Over 3000 rpms and the sounds picks up with a nice little growl. Since you have the v8, it should be a bit louder than the v6. Maybe someone here who has an l-tuned exhaust on there v8 will be able to help out..

The best thing I can say about the L-Tuned exhaust is my wife doesn't complain its too loud.. And that is good enough for me.. I get a nice growl out of the engine when I drive it and it completes the look of the rear end alot better IMO.. My first choice was Borla but I couldn't source it and the dealership offered me a L-Tuned at a great price since they wanted to see what all the fuss was about.. Win win in my books..

Here is a pic of the L-Tuned on the GS4.. Any questions just PM me or post here and I would be happy to help out!

Ken

PS: As for the L-Sportline exhaust if you are going with the L-Sportline body kit then its a good buy I guess since it integrates alot better with that package but honestly it isn't worth the money in my books.. Go L-Tuned (More money than the Borla but much easier to install since you are using the stock hangers) or Borla since it has the same rumble as the L-Tuned but a little more involved on the install side but its cheaper..

Thanks for the pics guys. The L-Tuned looks great and seems like the way to go. Where can I find the best price at, l-tunedparts.com or somewhere else? Thanks.
