Default Torque converter

Does anyone have a dragon torque converter and can you please let me know how much of a difference it makes?, I know it would launch harder but does it shift harder I just want to know if its worth it.

Thanks

On a non turbo car its honestly a little pointless...the factory GE doesn't make enough power that stalling the auto makes much sense. If you were in an F-body with H/C/I and a slew of bolt-ons, a higher stall on ET streets at the track is a viable option. Not in your case, though.

From a dollar to cost analysis, I would have to say I do not believe re-stalling your OEM converter or puchasing a new Dragon TC would be your best bet. While you will experience slight increase in acceleration I would focus on some other modifications that may net you a similar performance benefit for less money.

An alternative to the Dragon TC (since I know they are expensive) would be re-stalling your OEM converter. Check out Florida Torque Converters for an economically priced re-stall.

Also keep this in mind:

Higher HP = Higher Stall TC (The Dragons are stalled at 2800, however a custom rate may be able to be requested.)

Hope this helps...
