Question Any point in getting high flow converters????

I was thinking of getting some high flow converters for my 99 GS4......but my question is......is there any point in doing this on our cars? do we have high flow converters from the factory?? will there be any hp gains from this mod?? I have talked with a local company that makes the best aftermarket converters and they will make me some custom ones for about $200 ea. that will direct bolt up. Should I spend the money? I'm not a fan of wasting it!!!!

The stock GS400 cats are very high flow. Leave them alone.

Two more important words: Federal offense.

If you get caught driving a car in about 46 of 50 states w/o a cat, it is a federal offense, punishable by jail time. The car will get impounded and if a mechanic did the swap they can get in big **** trouble as well.

Bottom line: Not worth the risk...

What if you can gain 60-70hp from removing the cats? Would it be worth it then? A ton of high horsepower turbo guys run catless because it is that much of a restriction at those power levels(high as in 500-600hp+ range).

I have an exhaust dump. I can run through the restrictive exhaust when need be for quietness and legality. When I need to lay down the law, I just open the dump and all hell breaks loose. So loud you can hear me a mile away, gain a very good chunk of power, and exhaust dumping out 4ft after the turbo of EPA goodness.
