Any update? I would love to see what progress you have made? Any updates on your ECU?

BTW did you have to remove the master cylinder to get the clutch cylinder in?

Motor was dropped in and the custom intake was fitted, also the transmission was fitted and measured for shifter position, the shifter needs to be extended back to fit the GS300 so that and the intake is at the welder, next week my car should be flying along in terms of progress. I hope to have it back in two weeks or so, whats left is wire in haltech, install twin pumps / 1000 cc injectors / some new fuel line, fab new intercooler pipes, install electronic boost controller, wire in the wideband O2, weld driveshaft to fit, and tune. My mechanic Rick thats doing the work bought my brothers 01 IS300 GTE 6 speed, he made 560RWHP at 15psi with a similar setup to mine, the guys specialty is stand alone EMS's and tuning. I'm looking forward to seeing similar numbers with this car, I plan to keep the boost about 17psi for now, 600RWHP is enough power to pull on just about anything I run into on the streets.

Y'know a couple weeks back I remember thinking "I wonder why I haven't seen any manual swaps for the GS" and I'm learning it isn't/wasn't nearly such a simple swap. Kudos to a quality build

Default Maybe a dumb question

This maybe a dumb question but the last thing I read about someone doing a manual swap they said you couldn't use your stock gauges....tachometer, speedometer etc. Is this still the case or are you able to use everything in the stock dash???

everything should work perfect, the GS300 gets its speed from the ABS sensor not the tranny per the wiring diagrams, the tach signel comes from the stock igniter so I think we'll be fine.
