Ok here is the deal...I am wanting to add a exhaust system to my car, GS400, and I have been undecided on what to do. I have read my threads and seen a lot of polls trying to decide on what to do. So far I have narrowed my decission down to three options, but I am open to any suggestions.
Currently I have 20's and an intake, no chip, doing the SAFC in the next month or so.
Future I want to add headers later on.
I am thinking about doing the classic 14829 Magnaflow switch w/o resonators, but my fear is that it will be restrictive and not allow the engine to be free flowing, and I regret not doing a custom cat back.
So then I was thinking about doing a custom cat back with the 14851 I believe and going 2.5 all the way back with a x-pipe. My fear with that is that it will be too loud and possible loose low end power.
Lastly I was considering purchasing a greddy or simular. I dont want loud but noticable. I like the low rumble of the V8 but I dont want to sound like a F150.
Any suggestions?

I just ordered a pair of magnaflow 14851's. they will be coming in on monday. I will try to post some sound clips for you once I get them installed. however I have a gs3. there will be a difference in sound though. my buddy has them on his audi a4 and they sound perfect! not to loud but enough to be noticed.
