Exhausts for Dummies.
My questions have to do with the replica, universal exhaust that are sold on ebay for $39.99.
1. If they were used with custom pipes from the cat, would there be any difference in performance?
2. What kind of sound do you think they will give off.
3. What difference would a resinator play if it were removed.
Thanks.

Custom piping will open up the exhaust a little. The mufflers will probably get a little bit more of a growl in the low rpms. Remove the resonators too and the exhaust can get very loud like mine. They did a test on planet soarer and it showed the resonators were the big back up on the exhaust system. It will be loud but you will increase some HP's.

im about to do the exhaust and was wondering the same thing, from the feedback that i got the cheap mufflers wont effect the the setup but will sound like a riced out civic (high pitch) not the low deep tone ur prob. looking for. like i said this is just what i gathered and dont know for a fact so please correct me if im wrong.
I removed my resonators and put on straight through mufflers. Very low growl in the low rpm's but loud. Slight drone inside the car. I don't think it's possible to make the SC sound like one of those bad Honda exhausts. Noone will mistake it for a lawn mower
Some people down the street from us have their alarm set really sensitive and I can set it off by driving by. My wife and I make a game of it now and see how far away we can be when it goes off.
