I have LOTS of questions regarding this swap. Not so much how to do it, but rather what supporting mods I'll need to lay down 600ish rwhp. Can anyone help? I know I'll need a decent single turbo set-up, but I need to know if stock fuel can take me that high, or if I'll need bigger injectors and engine management. I will also be going with the Getrag 6spd and hopefully an aftermarket lsd. I'm VERY serious about this, just look at my other car(Full Track JIC Magic S13). But I want this car to maintain FULL streetability and be comfortable to drive daily. Any help here will be greatly appreciated!

I will be using a first gen platform, probably a 2002 to be exact. I can get my motor/harness/tranny by myself. I can do all the wiring myself too. I'm going to use the Seqouia D/S if it will take the HP, if not I can get one made here for 350. I get cost on whatever LSD I need, so it'll probably be KAAZ. I don't want to run emanage, so what are my other options(besides AEM)? Why do I NEED a custom intake manifold/pulleys/all the extra susp. arms? I'm only new to lexus, not working on cars, so I will do all my fabbing/labor/wiring. I just don't know all the ins and outs of swapping an IS. I do know, for a fact, that I can't put an LS1 into it due to tranny clearances(we already measured).

For engine management you would be best with Haltech ($1200 new, $500 used). You do not need a custom intake manifold but most that have done this type of modification have gone this route. Your best bet is to mod a Supra Turbo motor and then have it dropped into the IS. The main issues will be wiring which you say you can do and then the mounts. If you know your way around engines then really all you need is the cash.
Yes it will be expensive, but most of that stuff is additional and not even required within the 600hp range. The stock block is very capable of that horsepower, just not with the twins. Your best bet is to find a long block, purchase a single kit (BoostLogic, DaveH, XSPower) and conform it to your IS300. Properly done installed, I'd bet no more than 25K. The most difficult part of this swap is the V160 swap and wiring associated with the GTE. Have you looked at NA-T for your engine? If I was going go setup an engine in a car like that, I would personally find a GE from an SC for example, and work with that. You can build a 5-600 HP GE for less than 10K, easy. The BoostLogic kit for the GE is quoted for an easy 600RWHP, all thats needed on top of that is management and all the monitoring devices (Wide band and EGT).
You can do pretty much everything with the GE as you could with the GTE, if your only going for ~600 is been done many times with the GE, check the SC300 forums for a lot of the builds.
thx guys. I don't want to go ge since this car will be daily driven and i know how i like to use the car to its limits. I also know that i won't be using a vvti motor either. So from what I'm gathering haltech is decent ENG man. But what about fuel? Can I do all this out of usdm 550's?

GE is a perfect motor for the horsepower application you are looking for, as well as being daily driven. As soon as I get out of Iraq, I'm going to be boosting my GE and I will drive it will boost daily. Good luck either way.
you will have no problems with this motor being your daily driver. as many know these motors can withstand plenty of punishment. i would suggest getting a good engine management, good fuel system and a 71mm turbo like a 71gts
do you want to hit 600 on pump? or on race? what boost level do you plan on running? if you want to know what it takes to hit 600 rwhp on pump on a GTE motor, i would go to supraforums for a more concrete answer. im pretty sure you can make that power level on twins..
if you do go gte with 6 speed, you better swap out your rear end.. and half shafts.
