Default Swapping 250 tranny into 350?

Is it possible to change the 350 tranny for a manual 6 spd tranny from a 250?

Err... if your gonna spend that kind money, why not something alittle more tougher? Getrag 6speed, T-56, TKO II... something wayyy better. Might need a custom length drive shaft too reguardless if its a 250 trans.

Knowing you, you'd blow that stock 250 tranny in less than a month Not to mention the drive shaft/axles.

LOL, i don't know as much information on car trannys and things like that so i would thinking since the car is very similar so i would think it is possible.

I know..but I've died down llamaboiz. Don't worry about anymore threads about my racing. If you do, it'll be in the obituary's section.

Other problem is the ECU. The IS350 ECU expects to see an automatic transmission attached to the car.

I know in an F-body for example you can reflash (or physically swap if you don't haver the stuff to flash) the ECU from a manual but that's not an option here since the engine isn't the same either.

Then there's the issue with the manual tranny from the IS250 being a total piece of ****.

If you like modding, it'd be a lot simpler to trade in for a 335i

Even if you get the gearbox to attech to the engine and drive the rear tires you won't be able to keep the engine ECM happy with that on there.

Hey dude!!! I like my X-runner
Good thing I bought it for a work truck though, the trans is a far cry from a performance piece.
