the headers have been on the car for a week. I received the headers last Wednesday and had them installed Friday.

So is everyone talking about the 350 headers now? If they are I'll chip in some.

Alright the moment of truth is finally here. The numbers are a bit disappointing compared to the IS250. The graph is of the base done last week before the headers were installed and todays dyno. As you can see the gains were very minimal. A peak gain of 5.4 lbft tq and 3 hp. There is a pretty big gain in low end tq.

Maybe the headers will need a design change? Daniel if you decide to redesign them I will happily be your test mule.

Before anyone asks I have a little over 500 miles on the headers.

Thanks Toptier. We appreciate you sharing this info.

BTW, how many dyno fund donations did you end up getting?

Judging from the dyno it doesn't appear full throttle was applied until after 4300rpm. So the data to the left of 4300rpms may not be of much value. I assume 4th gear was used for all runs, but what mode was it in? (snow/norm/pwr)

You did gain some power though not much, so my only assumption is that the secondary cats and rest of the exhaust may be holding you back from the full potential of the headers.

Thank you from all of us for doing this unbiased testing.

That low end torque increase is pretty impressive, and actually what you should feel the most.

IMO low end torque is better than high end hp any day of the week.

edit: assuming that they were equally run tests (cayman beat me with his post)

Why would there be such a huge improvement on the IS250 and barely anything on the IS350? Seems strange?

^ The 350 could be tuned for max power from the factory, while the 250 has restrictions and such that (when opened up or modified) provide impressive increases.
