Default SRT Intake Install

Looking for reasons to why you, a Lexus Driver, has(ve) installed a SRT intake system into your engine.

Please state Pro's and the Con's of installing one.

Price ranges
Why I should install one?
Is it magic?


I finally convinced my dad to let me install one, but he wants to know more information on it, and so do I. Please help me out here =] Thanks!

I have recorded lower mpg with it installed.

weird

they claim that you are soposed to get better mileage.

do you have any other performance mods?

More than likely due to you gunning it every chance you get. I know of several GS owners with the SRT intake. They love the sound of it...therefore they gun it every chance they have lol.

Nah, I drive it like normal. I actually hate half assing the gas pedal with the SRT. It gets annoying (the sound; I get used to it), but with a passenger in the car they think the car is ****ed. It sounds like a deisel truck.

I was thinkin the ECU has to richen up the fuel mixture for the supposed extra air right? But does it only do that under throttle or is there no switch point? Like that equivalent of the SAFC.
