Thumbs up Dynoed GS400......WOW!

Ok so today I met Lexism at AllSpeed to do some dyno runs on our 400 and 430. I put mine down and got the best stock run of 239whp and 242lb/tq.........We left my car strapped up to the dyno and put in some new Torque Master's........next drum roll........244whp and 256lb/tq what a difference for just some torque master plugs that only cost me a bill! My mouth was wide open. I didn't think there was any way to get that much difference with just some new plugs. The rest of the car was completely stock: air filter, exhaust, everything! I was running NGK R plugs that only had 5K miles on them. Numbers from the Akimoto intake will be coming shortly.

Damn! Nice! 244whp...I got those plugs too. I wonder what I am going to run when I throw my SAFC Neo on? I can't wait! Keep up the good work!

the TM plugs might have marginal gains, but they also wear out fast. i had them too for maybe 20k miles and they were bad already. i know of at least 2 other people with the same phenomenon.

to me? i wouldn't use them anymore

Mine still seem to be OK...and I had them for 2 years now (~24K miles). What would be the signs of spark plug wear?

Here is a pic of the dyno.....the guy didn't compare the right two......hp was 239 and tq was 242 before the TM's

I am glad I have TM. I do notice it too. What's the average life of TM then? How often should we change it?

Francis, great testing. Past dyno's that compared TM plugs w/ others never gave any history of the plugs that were taken out( Well I don't recall seeing any)
Your test was done w/ good plugs (5k miles) prior to the TM plug change. That is the best objective test I've seen for the TM plugs.
some people don't realize that replacing worn plugs with even new stock plugs you can gain 5hp or even 10hp on a FI car. Well you don't really gain you just recover power that was lost.

Did you get A/F w/ your dyno?

I got TM plugs but in a 300.........

I don't think anyone has dyno'ed before and after with stock vs. TM plugs on a 300...................
