Default HKS Hi-power exhaust

Just had it installed this morning ($65.00) for an exhaust shop to install it so that was cheap enough. Anywho, sounds awesome!!!! I didn't take any pics because you've all seen them before. I can't say I love the looks of them from the rear, too big. My kid loves the look but then he's 16 and that's how they roll. I'm 42 and I just don't love the look but I do love the sound and the performance improvement.

As always, thanks for listening

Yeah, the high power is totally rice looking from the rear. I was cracking up at gernby's comments something to the ring of "i am a 30+ year old single man (at the time), I can't be driving around with coffee cans on my car" <-- something close to that.

It sounds good at WOT but I think this car sounds great with stock at WOT.

Enjoy your new exhaust.

to me when i first put on my hipower i thought the tips looked big. now when i see the car they kinda look small to me. but they do fill the bumber openings really nice almost like it's made for the car. plus you can see the bottom of the can from the side a little bit. which i like.

I think I've gotten used to their size and have actually begun to kinda like the way they look... but when I first saw the exhaust, those tips almost completely turned me away from considering the HKS.

I also know that anytime anyone else sees them, the first thing that crosses their mind is "rice". But hey, at the very least, people notice it, it's an actual performance upgrade, and it sounds great.

I just installed it this past weekend.

I find that the car doesn't really accelerate any faster, but it seems like it holds its speed for a longer period of time. I've been underestimating the gradual slowing of the car, and have hit my brakes a couple of times as it coasted much longer than without the exhaust.

The noise is a bit too much for my taste; I listen to classical music and sometimes play DVDs for passengers, so the extra noise is sometimes unwanted. I will try the silencers if I can't stand it no more, or perhaps change to Tanabe.

Yeah they are a touch noisy in the car when you have the gas even touched a little bit. If you want the car quiet inside most of the time or have passengers then I wouldn't modify the exhaust. If you are like me and ride alone most of the time and like the kick A sound then it is definately worth it. It's my summer car, kick around to my businesses in etc. My real car is a Toyo SUV and it's quiet and that's what I haul peeps around in so it works for me. Good luck with the silencers, I do think they will help and still sound cool WOT.
