Default Any available TT kits out?

I recently got my IS350; however, I want more power... 150 hp more will do and I know superchargers won't be able to do that. I am wondering if anyone knows of any TT kits for the IS350. I have up to 15k to spend on it. Also it needs to meet the emission laws for california-haha ya I know it has one of the strictest laws concerning emissions.

I hate bmw reliability, one of my older sisters drives the m3 and has take it in all the time, on the plus side performance is superb... I like japanese cars more than german cars; despite the fact the rest of my family drives only german brands...guess I am the black sheep in the family. I also find modifying cars something to do in my free time away from my studies or not hanging out with friends, well not going to have much time when its time to head out to Berkeley.

You won't even get CARB certification for $15k. Good luck with that. Powerhouse Racing has been trying to get a base model single turbo conversion for the MkIV Supras past CARB for more than three years with little success, and they've already got turbos from the factory.

If you really want to throw in a turbo, wait a few years for someone to develop a compatible one. So you know we don't detonate the engine lol.

I don't think there are any kits out there (yet), but how about spending the $15K on some R&D? There are plenty of places that can build you an intake manifold and the pipes can be custom.

Kits don't appear out of thin air. -Someone put the leg work into it.

There aren't any TT kits, but there are 2 known superchargers out on the market. LMS makes a supercharger, and so does TOM's Japan. The TOM's unit itself is about $10,500 and will boost engine output to the 400+ mark. I don't know of anyone on these boards with a TOM's supercharger, but I do believe ddquach has the LMS supercharger.

TOM'S supercharger needs a ECU flash. I've read that the supercharger wont work properly or at all without the proper ECU settings.

Buying an IS350 and dropping 15k for a turbo is plain old stupid in my opinion. Lets say you got the IS350 for sticker price of 45k, + 15k mods = ~$60k.

IS350 - 306hp. You want about 150hp more.

So give your IS350 to your siblings (lucky *** siblings to be given a 45k car...), and buy yourself an IS-F. It's about the price you want to spend, has a nice V8, and roughly the HP you're looking for.

I agree with this completely, especially since performance mods are the worst financial investments ever. You might as well just burn the $15K. At least with the IS-F would have good resale and a warranty.

Regarding the "giving it to your younger siblings" ... it sounds like you are a teeny bopper yourself who got this car as a gift.

Not going to flame this guy since we dont know his actual age, but I feel the same way.

If you spent 45k on an IS350 and want to spend 15k to mod it, you obviously can't be a very mature/smart individual. If you were, you'd know 15k to mod a car which has a version higher, is just idiotic. It's like someone buying a 335i and spending 15k to modify it when they can just buy the new V8 M3.
