Default My Tanabe Exhaust install pics

Very nice system, great quality and good sound. Install took about 20 minutes using my lift.

Stock system (not the greatest of designs)

Stock and Tanabe

Tanabe installed:

It takes about a day for everything to burn out of the new exhaust.
Highly recommend.

Thanks for the pics. Always nice to see the cars underneath with before/after pics. Good reference for when I am going to install me Tanabe.

Looks great. That is the first time anyone ever posted pictures
with both stock and tanabe tips right next to each other. It really
gives you a good idea of what to expect. Thanks!

The mufflers look a lot smaller too and it does look tons better than stock once you set the car down. Gives it a more sportier look.

What are the torque specs on those bolts? Or does it even matter? I figured snug would be all right. How are the rest of the exhaust supported? By those rubber hangers?

You're lucky you have a lift to work with. I would probably have to use my floor jack and jack stands. Maybe those ramps would be a better choice.

But seeing the inputs and many satisfied people with Tanabe I have concluded that the Tanabe exhaust is most superior in performance and cost and that is what I want on my car. I'll have one on order when I get some extra money saved up.

It won't affect emissions right? I don't think so because you're basically just changing out the muffler.

Snug on the bolts is good but I torqued mine to spec.

The rest of the exhaust is supported with the rubber hangers.

Will not affect emissions.

I purchased mine through these guys (gripmotorsports.com). Arrived in about 3 days from ordering.

http://www.gripmotorsports.com/pi~pn...stem-5844.html

Cost was $503.50 plus $49.95 shipping.

Tint-springs and rims are on the way as well.

Hey that is a great price!

I just installed my Tanabe over the weekend as well. Looks great, though I wish the sound were more raspy rather than just bass-y. All in all, though, I am pleased.

Will the 06 exhaust kit work the same on the 07? Or is there a specific kit for the 07 also?

The Tanabes will work for both 06 and 07 models. No difference in underbody construction. Thanks NWIS250AWD for the info. I'm locked in for one now. I can't wait to get it. Man, it's going to be so worth it. Did you guys go to the Tanabe website? They really praise their exhaust system very highly, talking about performance, quality, reliability, and under 93dB!!!! Wow, I have never seen other exhaust manufacturer say these things.

That's what I look for in an exhaust. I don't want the crazy loud sound, but enough under WOT. Plus the light weight consturction is nice.

Here are some clips from Youtube regarding the Tanabe Touring exhaust:

Looking to buy the same system. I'm from Lynnwood,WA. Can you hook me up with the install??? where is your shop located? I want to hear the exhaust sound personally if you don't mind.

Sure,
PM info.

Located in Clearview (Snohomish).

As of 2 tanks of fuel I have a confirmed 2 mpg better (tank average) since the exhaust, Joe Z intake and K&N drop in filter. Same pattern of driving.
