Forgive the newbie questions and assumptions....I just bought my 2000 GS300 mid last week....I'm a former Integra lover....undergoing Lexus Rehabilitation.

You might think about things this way as far as HP gain in a GS PRIOR to going supercharged or turbo, neither of which is a viable option for me since this is my daily driver. I see things with three levels of HP gain:
3-5 HP gain ($50-$70)
Drop in filter (TRD, K&N, etc.)
6-10 HP keeping the luxury sound ($700-800)
Intake (Injen, RMM, Akimoto, LMM, or Weapon-R)
Exhaust (Borla, RMM, Magnaflow/mufflers with near OEM piping creating less backflow)
20-25 HP more of a tuner-car sound ($1,200-$1,350)
Intake (SRT w/ECU - best in market prior to a turbo)
Exhaust (Tanabe Medallion Touring, Blitz, etc/mufflers with larger piping, more backflow, to accomodate increased volume at intake)
