Yes I did. The Supra kit is cheap in relative terms, but it's a two solenoid gearbox. Ours has quite a few more.

Does his Supra kit change the way the "full automatic" mode works? Would the different ECT modes still work?

If anyone in San Diego is interested in talking to the guy about it (the product would deliver a manumatic function similar to the promised function on the IS-F) pm me for his contact info.
i'd seriously be interested in this type of function... omg... i feel that our manual paddles are a waste...

Just an idea....

My last car was a 2004 Toyota Tacoma automatic with a SC, new ECU, fuel injectors, fuel pump and more. I sent my valve body to a place called IPT performance. They did there magic and sent it back to me. After install you could chirp the tires in third gear. Shifting went from a slow blending to a hard fast more reliable shift. I believe they changed out some springs and maybe some other stuff for around $500.00. Not sure if this could be done on the IS, but it's an idea.

P.S. I know this wouldn't help with the paddle shifting response

Be careful what you ask for. A harder shift does not equate to a better shift as it is done with higher line pressure which can really take its toll on parts. A faster shift come from the solenoid timing of when one releases and the next one engages the next set of clutches.
