Question LMS or K&N Intake Question

I am ready to purchase a intake system for my IS350. I was thinking of going with K&N, but now see there is a group buy for the LMS brand intake . I have a few questions.....

(1)What does LMS stand for?

(2)Is LMS better than K&N?

(3)Which gives more HP?

(4)Are there any other brands that are better?

(5)Have either triggered a check engine light to come on?

Your responses to these questions will definitely help me make the right choice.

Thanks for your time.

Danny

There have been many threads on intakes. I would do a search for them and you will find more info than you're probably willing to read.

Try a search for:
joez
lms intake
k&n intake
fujita

and any other's I've forgotten will probably be referenced in those threads.

Good luck on the search.

One piece of advice I will give you: just because it's aftermarket doesn't mean it's better than stock.

now i could be wrong but i think the HP difference amongst all those listed above will be too small to really notice on the streets... so i would factor in which one looks best and maybe sounds best. the only ones ive seen chrome/silver/shiny... which i like, are the injen ones and fujita... but maybe all of them come nice and pretty =)

(1) LMS is Luxury Motor Sports

(2) Not really. Just sounds different.

(3) Neither gives significant HP increases. A little more or less, but not significant.

(4) There are many other brands. Please use "Search"

(5) I have the LMS Air Intake and it has never triggered the Check Engine light.

I have the K&N, but Philip's summary leaves nothing else to be added, at least from my part.
