removing it is the easy part... getting a pattern of your current set-up, and then disassembling the assembly, heating the ring gear, adn then mating it up to the LSD is still easy... setting backlash and then re-patterning your gearset may be difficult...
it's not hard at all, shop around for a good auto shop. my pops changed mine out in couple of hours. if you where in cali i would hook you up.
good luck
I got the TRD LSD install a few months ago. I love it. I supplied my own snythetic oil so they did not charge me some marked up$12/qt. I went w/ Redline 75/90NS.
I think my install was about $385. They added some $45 gear kit. I think the gear kit has some bolts seals and washers.. The shop that did mine was an off road shop that do alot of lifts, tranny and diff.gearing.
Every one told me it was a remove and replace nothing else
needed. But I noticed in the service manual they show a few bolts and seals that are "non-reusable"
Make sure you get oil for LSD w/clutch type discs. That why I went w/ Red line w/ friction modifiers(recomended by DaveGS4)
