Well I guess I'm bumping this thread up a bit. I want to polish the two belt covers like GILEXUS did. Are there any precautions I should take when I take these covers off? I have a buffing wheel at home so I figured this would be a DIY. What do you guys think? Any tips?

Go for it just be carefull w/ the rubber seal gasket mostly on the drivers side. It is shaped alittle different and installing it back on you might pinch it.
The pass. side one there is a clip that holds the 2 hoses coming from the power steering motor. that clip is a mother to remove w/o breaking.. I broke the clip trying to remove it.
Lastley, just remember which way the 3 hose clamps are facing on the driver side one.

I'll dig up my pics so you can see the back side of the clamps, this really helps to figure out how they come off instead of breaking them off.
You'll wish you polished more than the covers when your done

The hoses weere done with a sleeving kit. I used sleeving from Specta and got most the parts from Summit Racing and Jeggs.

I like the polished parts but not the fake braided hose kit. Little cheesy in my opinion.

Um...yeah I realized that these covers might be a lot harder to take off than I originally anticipated. So....I polished them with them on and they came out pretty nice...I'll take a pic tonight.
