Transmission slipping?!
Hi guys,
I have a 94 gs300 and I have noticed recently that when it is below 55 degrees and the car isn't fully warmed up, for about the first couple of minutes, the transmission seems like it is slipping a bit. The engine revs higher than normal in first gear for how fast the car is going. The transmission fluid level is normal. I know that it is normal for cars to rev out a little bit more when cold, but it almost seems like the torque converter is not getting enough fluid. The transmission acts perfectly normal above about 55 degrees. My car only has 80K miles. Does anyone else have this problem?

I have a 96GS300. My car tends jerk when it is changing gears from 1st to 2nd. I first noticed it when i bought the car two years ago. I went and had the transmission fluid changed and the transmission flush. That seem to help. It stop with the jerks. So you may want to try doing that. It may or it may not make a difference, but it is worth a try.
