Ok, heres my plan. Bolt on stock mufflers. Sell my L-Tuned mufflers. Get turbo installed. Get some electronically adjustable exhaust cutouts right at the downpipe. Have the ultimate sleeper

Question is. Where can I find tips similar to the L-Tuned pieces? I really like the look but I just want the tips for the stock exhaust.

You are getting rid of the L-Tuned exhaust??? Best sounding exhaust out there. You should rethink that strategy!

go to your local muffler shop and they should have a lot to choose from. here in los angeles, i found some shops that carried some that were similar to the l-tuned shape.

if they don't have them, they should have a catalog that they can order from.

i thought in a turbo setup, you need some back pressure from the exhaust?

you'll have no problem selling the l-tuned exhaust.

In a turbo setup the less resistance in flow will yield higher power. For N/A the piping size needs to be correctly selected to maximize the exhaust flow velocity. In a turbo setup, the compressor is providing all the velocity you need.

But wouldnt you be getting high EGT's while crusing in the stock pea shooters?
Also, how reliable are those Electronic Cut outs? I would assume the high exhaust temps would damage the electronic controls.

i had a electric cutout before on my previous car and it had lots of problems. when closed, it would leak some times. and also with in the first 2 weeks i sent it in and they replaced it because it stopped working. and after about another 2 months it just stopped working. there was power going to the unit but the motor was dead. and i just gave up. this was a QTP cutout. BUT for the time it was working.. it was SWEET!!
pick the right cutout!! your car will sound awsome! and probably scare the hell out of people you race.

I thougt the QTP was "supposed" to be one of the best brands for the cutouts. And you still had problems with it? Hopefully that won't happen on my setup.
