Thank you for doing what you are doing and have been doing for +12 years; you have my upmost respect. However, I seriously hope that you are not referring to me with the above statement.

The video is way to large for me to post, so below is the link to the video. The "Animal" dynoed this particular IS350 three times said the hp went from 236 to 244 and tq from 204.35 to 218.96. Also, at the 5:27 mark of this same video there are scans of the baseline and modified dyno's.

Like I stated before, this is why I, in my previously mentioned statement, claimed BS. Hope these future planned runs clear things up a bit.

 

Trapspeed in a 1/4 or 1/8 mile never lies. Any chance you could do some back to back runs? No need to beat on the car, but just full throttle acceleration over a measured distance. Honestly, I don't trust dynos much, they're too easy to manipulate, and besides, I never drive with the hood open. I'd really like to know if it makes a significant difference the way I drive - hood closed, engine up to full temp, all fluids at normal levels, etc.

 

Well, I called Ryan today. After speaking with him, and reading his open challenge for CL members to come down for a 3-way comparison, that's enough for me to put my money on the F5. I like their openness and experience in the field. If I was a betting man, and I am, I am going to say that the F5 will outperform both the stock set-up and the Joe Z intake.

No offense to the Joe Z set-up, but I just don'tsee how changing the tube that goes from the stock airbox to the engine is going to make a significant increase in power. Whereas the F5 system is a complete intake replacement, not to mention their high air-flow filter which offers the same protection as stock.

If I'm wrong, I'll be the first to admit it, but I think whoever shows up for the dyno runs will be pleasantly surprised.

 

Well Ryan and I have been communicating back and forth via email throughout the day today and have setup a "dyno day" for Monday August 7th at 11am. I'll be bringing my stock tubing, as well as the Joe Z which is already installed. He will provide the Fujita. Should be an interesting day. Hopefully some of you socal locals can make it out there too. I know it may be hard becuaes it is on a work day.

 

My F5 is on the way!!

 

I live locally in the area and would like to check this out as well. Hopefully i'm off this day. BTW I also have a JoeZ intake tube installed as well.

 

Anyone with a LMS intake care to send it on this dyno run too? I sure would like to throw all intakes into the mix. So we could have a striaght test for all 3 aftermarket intakes and a stock baseline.

This is going to be interesting.Post those results. I'm very curious. How about a GB for the F5 if it wins?

 

It would be nice if we can test the LMS as well. We'll play it by year. I don't have their intake nor would I be able to get it by Monday. Seems like a lot of people are really curious between JoeZ and Fujita. If possible, we will post by end of Monday or Tuesday at the latest. Either way, there will be some good data and help some (not all) make a decision.

 

Pending forthcoming results, I would be very interested in purchasing an F5 (GB or not) from Fujita.
