It was the LMS intake which is a VERY similar if not identical design as the Fujita.

If I had a choice between trusting a video where the manufacturer did a dyno test themselves versus one of our own CL members going out and doing the dyno, better believe I would turst the CL members dyno, which does indeed show a power LOSS.

I wouldn't mind bringing a members IS in and doing a dyno infront of their eyes.
Maybe we can get several and test them all in the same day.
It is difficult for a manufacture. If we don't dyno, they say we make no power. If we do dyno, people don't believe the results. If somebody else did it, they did it wrong.
What more can you do?

You guys are in Temecula? I wouldn't mind taking you up on that offer. I currently have the Joe Z intake pipe installed but wouldn't mind putting the stock tube on if you're wanting to compare baseline vs the Fujita intake... Or better yet, Joe Z vs Fujita

I hope both sides follow up on this offer as I've been waiting for solid data on an intake before I buy.

This could be a wonderful opportunity for Fujita to sell to a captive audience, not to mention local CL Members to try before they buy.

I saw the video a couple of days ago and in the video Brian "Animal" quoted bhp to be around 236 to 239, I was like WTF over. He even said it twice...I have the longer version of the video at home, not youtube.com, from another video hosting website.

Here's a short MODZ clip, which doesn't depict dyno numbers:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E4KV8VrhlQY&search=is350

I call BS on the F5 dyno. Here is the dyno from F5's website. In it the have a slight gain in Hp and about a +10 gain on Tq. It shows a baseline dyno of 254.76 hp and 223.19 tq, so which one is right the one on video or the one they posted on their site? The aforementioned along with the fact that they quoted low numbers (239) is the reason why I call BS.

Someone that knows more about intakes and engines should post an Intake FAQ thread on this.

I have been in the intake business for 12 years. As for the dyno, two different cars, different days, different conditions, 19" wheels on my car. However gains were about the same for both cars. If you think two cars are going to dyno the same horsepower stock vs. stock....... You see lots of variances in baselines from car to car. I will take a look at the temp difference on the two different dynos tomorrow. People that make comments need to do more research before giving forums inocrrect information. Let's do the test to help those out that want more data. Got to test all the intakes on the same day under the same conditions. Temecula has been 100+ lately and the humidity will plat a factor. However the test will be conducted under the same conditions. The SAE correction will kick in if there are variances.

I will make sure we do the test. Ramon has already emailed so we will set something up asap. If any members want to come down to witness, maybe we can coordinate something. BTW, we are only open Mon-Fri so the test will have to take place then.
