Someone just told, when I change the Torque Converter, is better to modify the valve body kit too. does anyone know anything about this, what will the upgrade valve body kit do? is this upgrade bad for my transmission? or engine?

any help will be greatful, and thanks in advance.

Lightbulb Check RMM

GW - Go to www.rodmillen.com & see if they still have the valve body upgrade available. Until Swift gets their tranny ECU perfected ( man, how long have I been saying THAT!! ), Millen may have the only tranny mod in the game. From my RMM salesman - this upgrade will firm up the shifts & that's about it. Swift's ( when ready ) will do that as well as allow quicker shifts when using the E-shift plus it will be programmable for those of us who have changed the differential gearing to the 3.76 LSD chunk ( also from RMM ). If Millen's is like the old B&M or Art Carr kits, then it's just a matter of using the modded valve body to redirect the fluid flow and/or block other fluid routes which will allow more tranny fluid pressure to be developed & hence the firmer shifts. It shouldn't hurt anything in either the near term or longer; in fact, firmer shifts will reduce slippage which, in turn, reduces heat ( the #1 killer of trannies ). I'd advise the installation of an auxillary tranny cooler as well when ya put in the T/C although some Members haven't & their trannies R doing fine. If U call RMM, ask for Craig Miller & tell him "Mean Gene" from Louisiana sent ya - he'll work with ya!!

I believe RMM has all their valve body kit work done by Level 10. Level 10 is also one of the vendors they use for their TC.

Hey guys-

About 8 months ago I recieved a new transmission ECU computer from Lexus. I didn't notice a huge difference in performance, but it did help stiffen up the E-Shift programming. It was at the time a "special" alternative for customers complaining about sloppy shifting with the tranny. I know the forman of a lexus shop and he got me the upgradded computer for my car. FYI everyone.
